The Small Business Center
The Small Business Center is more than a coworking hub. It’s a purpose-built environment for emerging entrepreneurs to grow, connect, and thrive. Created in partnership with the City of Brooklyn Park, the center removes barriers that often limit access to space, support, and visibility.
From the bold, city-inspired color palette to the adaptable, open-plan lounge, the space signals belonging from the moment you enter. The architecture reflects a deep responsiveness to the needs of Brooklyn Park’s entrepreneurial community—shaped through ongoing dialogue and visual listening sessions with local business owners.
The result is a flexible, aspirational environment aimed to incubate talent, showcase retailers, and serve as the perfect, functional backdrop to gather. A curated corridor of boutique storefronts brings to life a mall-like concept—sophisticated, but approachable—giving small business owners a platform to build their presence and connect with customers face to face.
Throughout the center, quiet rooms, private offices, dedicated desks, and modular meeting spaces support a wide range of working styles and business types. It’s also a hub for continuing education and collaboration, hosting events in partnership with organizations like Elevate Hennepin.
More than anything, the Small Business Center reflects what’s possible when design and civic leadership come together to invest in local talent. It’s a space built for momentum—and for making entrepreneurship feel not just possible, but personal.
